Things to do in Bali (Part 4) Nusa Penida Island

September 26, 2022

Ola!

Bom Dia from Bali!

It's so humid lately and honestly I feel sick because I'm very sensitive for the weather change. In Bali lately it's so crowded. Yep it's normal already so there are so many tourists come to Bali. Yesterday we went to the shopping mall and we bought so many coffees and teas to send to  Portugal for hubby's friend. 😅. Hubby also cut  his hair and we bought a pocket camera for vlogging! Yay can't wait for our next travel!

Today we will just stay at home and maybe just relax at the cafe here. We visited most places in Bali already so we're kinda confused to decide where to go next. :D Well we will decide it later. As for now I'm gonna write our story when we went to Nusa Penida. Have you ever heard about it?

Klingking Beach

Nusa Penida is an island in the southeastern Bali. I visited this island twice. The first one it was in 2017 with a friend. At that time the road was still a bit hard to reach and bumpy but it was fun. Then we came back to Nusa Penida and now it's much better of course.

How to get there?

You can use a tour or just go by yourself. This time we booked an open trip. So we gather in a place and the driver dropped us in Sanur Harbor. This time we're with Chinese couple from Africa. It's cute because the girl is stronger than the guy because she's girlie but she's the one who ride the bike and handled everything for him.

After that we departed to Sanur. They prepared the ticket so we just need to go to the fast  boat. You can also do it without a tour. Just come to Sanur harbor and there are so many places to buy fast boat ticket. When we entered the boat they asked to remove our slippers and put it in a box :D. It took around 40  minutes to reach Nusa Penida. Very fast right!

Once you arrive there will be someone's waiting for you with the nametag. The first one I chose private trip but this time we chose open trip. So once we met the driver he was waiting for another group. At first we were with family group but thank God  they changed our group. We're with the same couple and there're 2 couples more but I forgot where they are from. Then we start our day in Nusa Penida!

1. Snorkeling in Crystal Bay

In my first trip I went to this beach for the last destination but this time we came here first. I think it's because we chose for snorkeling. Well actually I didn't go. Hubby did it. He went for snorkeling with the group and I was waiting there with all the drivers even from the other group hahaha. Hang out with the locals.

In 2017 I came to this crystal bay instead

Hubby said he didn't see many fishes. We went for snorkeling to Thousand Island in Jakarta before and he said it was much better. Maybe he couldn't' find the best spot this time. Poor hubby!

This time for snorkeling thru here, Dirty :( dunno why he took us here

Ah there's a funny story from hubby. He said the guy from Africa (I forgot his name) was throwing up in the water the moment before they jumped to the water for snorkeling. So hubby was kinda shock and wanted to avoid the area where he threw up!🙈I think this guy actually was felling sick the moment we arrived in Nusa Penida but maybe he was just trying to hold it. He couldn't bear it again at that moment! :D

It took around an hour for them to finish snorkeling. After that we were moving to another spot.

2. Angel Billabong

From the parking area we had to walk and walk and we reached the spot. Unfortunately we could only see it from afar. I remember 5 years ago there're some foreigners and they're swimming and chilling there. I heard there were accident so when we came it's prohibited to swim in Angel Billabong. Well the wave was so big of course it's dangerous. We took some nice pictures here.

Nice hubby

Pretty!

Don't forget to use sunscreen guys as the weather was so hot! Trust me it's a must because your skin will get burned. Don't forget to bring water and keep rehydrating! :D

3. Broken Beach

The location is close to angel billabong. You just need to keep walking and you'll reach broken beach. As I said before don't forget to bring water because well you need to keep walking and it's hot plus tiring lol.

enjoy!

From another spot!

Nice!

It's so crowded here now because there're so many domestic and International tourists. In 2017 it was still very empty but I was so shocked because now it's very famous and full of  people :D

Hubby enjoyed his time and we're walking around to find the spot for taking pictures and video. Ah if you're lucky maybe you could see Manta. Yep few years ago I was lucky and I saw manta. But not this time :D

After taking many pictures and video we headed to a restaurant for lunch! Nice because 5 years ago the tour only prepared a lunchbox even tho it's a private tour 😅

4. Klingking Beach

This one is very famous because it looks like Trex shapes cliff. Visited this place twice already but still amazed with the view. Klingking beach is a very nice spot for taking pictures. The guide-driver took us here and show the best spot for us. He also helped us to take pictures. Nice!

It was tiring and then after taking so many pictures we were just resting and waiting for the other couples in a store. Korean couple bought us a drink. They're very nice!

Our fave! I took this pic in 2017

Trex shape cliff! (Updated pic lol)

Temple

From afar

Niceee!!

I suddenly remember  something, In 2017 I went to a spot called "Pohon Cinta" (Love tree) I heard the tree is broken. Maybe because too many people come to take picture here. It's a shame because it's  a nice spot tho!

in 2017 at Pohon cinta!lol

Klingking beach was our last destination for the tour. After that we prepared to come back to Sanur. The driver gave us fast boat ticket. It took around 40 minutes to arrive in Sanur.

The driver already standby in Sanur and to drop us in the same spot when he picked us. Then we booked online car to go back to our apartment.

Wow what a day! It was fun even tho it's not my first time. Hubby was also happy because we could explore. We can say "been there and done that yay!"

It's a long journey

Spot for taking pics

Ready to go back!

Next time  we will share the story when we went to Mt. Batur and Monkey Sacred Forest Sanctuary.

See you!

Ate ja!
